Event: All Church Teen Dad's Devotional

Time & Place: Friday, May 11th from 7:30PM-9:30PM at the Framingham Church Building

We are having an All Church Teen Dad's Devotional on Friday, May 11th from 7:30PM - 9:30PM at the Framingham Church Building. The title is 'Family Shepherds'.

This will be for teenage dads around the Boston Church and other New England churches. This devotional will be going on simultaneously with the all church teen devotional.

This is part two of a two part series. Part one in January we discussed building spiritual depth with your teen. Part two we'll be discussing living out faith with your teen.

We will have a forty-five minute lesson and a one hour discussion group.

All dads are welcomed. Those who attended part one and those who missed part one. Dad's of preteens and children can also attend if they would like.

Any questions call (508-660-2485) or e-mail me.

In Him,
Walk for HOPE- May 20th at Franklin Park
Some reminders for the Event
1) The Walk for HOPE and worship service starts at 11:00 on Sunday 5/20 at Franklin Park. Please arrive early (10:00 is a good time to shoot for) to get parked and arrive for the service. There will be a 5K Run for those interested as well.
2) There will be a scavenger hunt during the Walk-all who complete the Scavenger hunt can enter a raffle for prizes. These will be on cards and handed out at the Walk.
3) Please use the web site fund raising site to help with your fund raising (see below for details).
4) There will be awesome food-Spanish specialties and Clarence's barbeque are highlighted-bring your appetite and $ for lunch.
5) There will be a bus shuttle from Forest Hills T stop running to the service site and returning people after the service and Walk.

The needs are growing here in our cities and around the world. Our church/HOPE Chapter operates one of the 450 programs in eastern Massachusetts to address the needs of hunger. The need for food support increased 25% in the past 5 years and will increase 10% in the next 2 years. Our pantry operates on a budget of $45,000 per year. We also spend $7000 per year in support of our Saturday Academy and we have a $100,000 commitment to HOPE worldwide for all their efforts around the world.
We appreciate all donations that are collected. In response to the growing needs we are initiating a category of participants called Heart and Sole participants. You can fundraise from your heart and then walk, run or kick with your soles in support of people in need. Each Heart and Sole participant is asked to raise a minimum of $200.
To set up your own personal site to have people donate go to http://hopeww.org/bostonwalk
We are dreaming of initiating another program which would allow our Chapter to support a number of participants to serve in some future service programs like the Central American Service Brigades. If 25% of our members are able to meet the threshold of being a Heart and Soul participant we will be able to pursue this additional program
We will have personal fund raising sites available for you to contact your friends and family members. People will be able to donate directly from your site. In addition, each region of the church will be setting up regional teams to help people be successful together in their fundraising. Contact your benevolence leadership group/deacons to begin signing up volunteers for the Walk for HOPE as well as setting up our regional fundraising team.
A similar program will occur for those people eager to support the HOPE World Cup which will occur on Sunday June 10th at Lawrence High School. We are looking for soccer player and those that have a heart to support the Central American Service Brigades and HOPE worldwide.
Please talk to your benevolence leadership group/deacons with any questions you may have.
